New! Head Start News Blog Provides Timely Updates, Strategies, and Resources

Welcome to Head Start News! If you’ve been following our work, you may have noticed that we recently updated the Foundations for Families website with a new look and feel. With that, we’ve also revamped what was formerly our DRS Updates and EHS-CCP blogs into Head Start News. We’ll still bring you all the most up-to-date DRS and EHS-CCP content, in addition to content more broadly focused on Head Start.

Here’s what you can expect from our blogs.

Head Start News provides a space for us to share timely updates on regulatory requirements, Office of Head Start priorities, and Notices of Funding Opportunities for DRS and other grant competitions, as well as tips, strategies, and resources to support compliance and continuous program improvement.

Our Talking Points blog is a forum for thought leaders to share insights, updates, research, and information on a variety of multi-disciplinary topics such as child care, workforce development, and housing stabilization.

While we used to post content on our Talking Points blog related to Head Start, going forward all content specific to Head Start will now be posted on Head Start News. You’ll find that a lot of Talking Points content is still relevant to Head Start, covering topics such as wage comparability, workforce development, child care, and strategic planning. For example, we recently published Stabilizing the Workforce with Affordable Child Care and Competitive Wages. While very much related to Head Start, Talking Points is intended to respond to the needs and interests of a broader audience. We hope you’ll follow along there as well.

If you’re looking for previously published blog posts, you can still find them on our website. Using the search tool on either of our blogs, you can navigate to the content that interests you the most. Everything is there, and searchable for your convenience.
