Round Three (part 2): 266 pages in 61 days...

Another 64 forecasted DRS Round 3 notices arrived on grants.gov yesterday. The states with competitive service areas in the second part of this release included: Alabama (3), Arkansas (3), Florida (7), Georgia (4), Illinois (6), Indiana (2), Louisiana (10), Michigan (2), Minnesota (1), Mississippi (3), North Carolina (3), New Mexic0 (1), Ohio (3), South Carolina (2), Tennessee (1), and Texas (13).Although they were released a day later (9/24/14), they have the same due date (11/24/14).So, what's left? You'll recall that on or before February 5, 2014, 103 grantees were informed that they were going to need to compete.  With 32 service areas released in part one of Round 3 and 64 in part two, you'd think that leaves 7 grantees from the original list.  However...The original list, the forecast and the number of live FOAs (as of the morning of 9/25/14) don't exactly line up. That may be because the 103 list was grantees and the forecasts and FOAs are based on service area. As we've been tracking, it looks like this:Alabama2 grantees (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)3 FOAs (9/24/14)Arkansas2 grantees (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)3 FOAs (9/24/14)California4 grantees (list of 103)4 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday on 9/25/14Colorado1 grantees (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14Connecticut2 grantees (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)3 FOAs (9/23/14)Florida4 grantees (list of 103)5 service areas (forecasted)7 FOAs (9/24/14)Georgia4 grantees (list of 103)4 service areas (forecasted)4 FOAs (9/24/14)Idaho1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14Illinois5 grantees (list of 103)5 service areas (forecasted)6 FOAs (9/24/14)Iowa1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of 9/25/14Kansas1 grantee (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14Kentucky1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14Louisiana8 grantees (list of 103)10 services areas (forecasted)10 FOAs (9/24/14)Maryland1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)1 FOA (9/23/14)Massachusetts4 grantees (list of 103)4 service areas (forecasted)4 FOAs (9/23/14)Michigan1 grantee (list of 103)2 service areas (forecasted)2 FOAs (9/24/14)Minnesota1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)1 FOA (9/24/14)Mississippi2 grantees (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)3 FOAs (9/24/14)Missouri4 grantees (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14Nebraska2 grantees (list of 103)2 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14New Hampshire1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)1 FOA (9/23/14)New Mexico1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)1 FOA (9/24/14)New York4 grantees (list of 103)4 service areas (forecasted)4 FOAs (9/23/14)Nevada1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14North Carolina3 grantees (list of 103)4 service areas (forecasted)3 FOAs (9/24/14)North Dakota0 grantees1 service area (forecasted 9/2/14)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14Ohio2 grantees (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)3 FOAs (9/24/14)Oregon2 grantees (list of 103)2 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14Pennsylvania8 grantees (list of 103)9 service areas (forecasted)10 FOAs (9/23/14)Puerto Rico2 grantees2 service areas (forecasted)2 FOAs (9/23/14)South Carolina3 grantees (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)2 FOAs (9/24/14)Tennessee1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)1 FOA (9/24/14)Utah1 grantee (list of 103)1 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14Virginia4 grantees (list of 103)4 service areas (forecasted)4 FOAs (9/23/14)Washington1 grantee (list of 103)3 service areas (forecasted)0 FOAs as of midday 9/25/14West Virginia1 grantee (list of 103)1 service area (forecasted)1 FOA (9/23/14)It looks like there was more activity this afternoon.  We will share that information here, soon.  Then we will list and arrange by state which is how we prefer to see the information.Thank you.
