Amy Augenblick is the Founder and Executive Director of Foundations for Families, a woman-owned consulting firm based in Northern Virginia that has been providing services to local, state, regional, and national organizations supporting children, families, and communities for more than 25 years. Clients include local and state governments, private-sector businesses, faith-based organizations, Head Start grantees, CAP agencies, school systems, and nonprofit agencies.

Amy brings over 25 years of experience in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She is a national expert in early education and care, budgeting, and fiscal planning. Under Amy’s leadership, Foundations for Families has secured over $312M in competitive federal grant funding for clients, completed community needs assessments and/or data collection at the local and regional levels across 34 states, and captured feedback from more than 6,500 respondents of surveys developed and distributed on behalf of clients. Foundations for Families has earned a strong reputation for its strategic, data-driven consulting, offering high-quality, responsive, customized services through a collaborative approach that is designed to ensure clients’ success.

Amy holds two M.Ed. degrees from Vanderbilt University and a B.A. in History and Women’s Studies from Brown University. She regularly presents at national conferences, has served on boards of directors, and has taught as an adjunct professor. She is active in the US Chamber of Commerce and the local Rotary Club.

Amy lives in Great Falls, Virginia. She enjoys gardening, tending to the backyard birds, rescuing dogs, and exploring the trails in Great Falls National Park.
